On August 24, 2006, Alyssa Rose Bruno passed away after a valiant battle with brain stem cancer (diffuse pontine glioma). During her short life she touched the hearts of many people not only in the Rochester area, but also around the world. Her parents, Lori and Chris Bruno, along with family members and their many friends have therefore decided to establish a charitable organization in Alyssa's memory.

In addition to her tremendous courage, Alyssa Bruno displayed exceptional kindness, generosity and sensitivity, particularly towards other children. Her heartfelt concern about the happiness and well being of other human beings was a special gift that we plan to continue to give on her behalf.

The important work of the Alyssa's Angels organization is funded solely through the contributions of private individuals, organizations and businesses. We would welcome your support of our efforts to assist children who are the victims of child abuse or neglect, and those that are experiencing serious medical, emotional or behavioral problems. If you would like to help, please send a check payable to "Alyssa's Angels" to:

Alyssa's Angels
P.O. Box 129
West Henrietta, New York 14586

If you prefer to donate through other means, or if you would like more information about the Foundation, email us at

Your kindness and generosity are very much appreciated!

Alyssa's Angel 2016 Holiday Gift Project

The Alyssa’s Angels annual holiday gift project helps local children and families in need during the holiday season. Every year, five worthy non-profit organizations are selected, and Alyssa’s Angels donates $500 to each.

In an effort for the program to have a greater impact and help even more Rochester area children and families; Alyssa’s Angels reached out for partner organizations from the community to match its $500 donation. Through this effort, each of the five selected non-profit organizations receives $1,000.

The agencies that Alyssa’s Angels selected to support this year and the respective co-sponsors for each are:

Non-profit: Wilson Commencement Park -- Co-sponsor: Gates Automotive Center
